Family Care Program in Spain

The specialty of Family and Community Medicine has emerged in Spain as in other industrialized countries, to provide better quality care to the population and to streamline the health system as a whole.

With the full development of this specialty primary care level is acquiring the appropriate role, so that it can solve most health problems presented by people in a coordinated manner with other specialists working in secondary care (hospital and outpatient services) and allowing, therefore, the proper functioning of the entire system.

With the creation of primary care teams, specialists in Family Medicine have introduced important changes in primary care: better clinical care, teamwork, prevention and health promotion, family practice, incorporation of teaching and research and community activities.

What are the benefits of being registered with the health system in Italy?

Registration entitles you to:

* The choice of doctor that ensures free: visits to the clinics and at home, prescription drugs, office requests for medical specialists, certified temporary inability to work, to get mandatory certification in nurseries and kindergartens, in schools maternal, elementary, secondary, certification for absence from work of the father or mother for a sick child.

* Medical assistance specialist, you can access by requesting your doctor and your health card exhibits. For visits ondontológicas, ostétricas, gynecologists, pediatricians and oculist is not necessary to request from your doctor. Moreover, for each medical specialist consultation have to pay only the ticket.

Most of us are struggling financially, as our economy has worsened recently. People have lost their jobs or are worried they could lose their jobs. Families and individuals have cut their costs considerably, no doubt. In short, people are looking for bargains in almost everything they buy – including health insurance plans.

What is happening in the business of health care?

In 2009, approximately sixty-two percent of the plans sold by the agents in North Carolina, there are plans for health savings (HSA plans). Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina has a plan called Blue Options HSA. The options for Blue HSA plan costs much less than traditional copay plan is chosen more often. This was not true in previous years.
